Moving to a New Home

Well fluff. The 10GB of photobucket bandwidth that was supposed to last for an entire month ended up being chewed through by my FFX playthrough in TWO DAYS. I didn't realize I was so popular!
So over the next few days I'm going to be moving the Let's Play to its own site to accommodate the increase in traffic, and hopefully encourage more conversation. I'll still continue to use DW as a personal/art journal, and the old entries will remain here, although you may or may not be able to see the pictures. I will let you know the new address when it's ready!

Date: 2014-01-28 07:27 pm (UTC)I wish my own web host allowed me to set up sub accounts with their own passwords, or I'd happily give you space. But it sounds like you've probably found a webhost that will work. (Don't spend too much money; here's the prices on the host I use).
The other option is to upgrade a Photobucket account to paid.
Or save your screencaps at a smaller resolution or slightly lower jpg quality to save memory.
Or, possibly, set up a private Tumblr account to upload all the pictures, and use it to webhost. But I'm not sure whether that will work.
I find that once one gets heavily into fandom, one inevitably winds up buying personal webhosting for all your stuff. It's a sign of a dedicated (i.e. crazy) fan. Looking forward to whatever you build!

Date: 2014-01-29 12:39 am (UTC)I upgraded my photobucket account once before but this is going to be going on for probably a long time and continually needing more space, and I don't really have the money to keep putting quarters in the machine.
I don't mind the increased traffic but I wish some of the flood of people I got when Livvy promoted it had bothered to leave a comment or something. I mean, gosh, you guys.
The new blog should be ready to go soon though!
