It took me a few tries to get into FFVII but now that I have I'm really enjoying it. :) It's also fun watching my younger cousin, who is mostly unfamiliar with Final Fantasy (he watched me play some of X and XIII) getting really excited about things that are well-known to the fandom but new to him. He read the instruction booklet and gleefully told me that "There's this one guy who has a machine gun for an ARM! And this girl who fights just USING HER FISTS!"
