Auron's reason for dramatic stadium entrance, despite his probable distaste for blitzball: "facepalmed, and decided to come collect him before he can cause any more damage." I'll buy that.

"Wakka passes the ball to This Guy!" Snerk. At least it's better than "Voldemort," which I'm always tempted to use because of the way people avoid saying Waffles' name.

I love the way swords and crystals make zzzzzing and *twingle* noises in Final Fantasy.

I'm loving your purty screenshot of the three mages (Kimahri = blue mage) in dynamic poses, waiting for a fish to leap out of the pool for them to whump.

Poor battered Wakka. I have no idea why white magic isn't allowed at halftime. And my RL team just got punched out during the semifinals because THEIR Wakka got hit in the ribs on Friday and suffered a fractured rib, and just like Wakka, he played through it. But they didn't win. Congrats! I found a sneaky way of pulling defenders out of position by hugging the wall, and I still have trouble.

Anima, the "mummified fish monstrosity in a Venus flytrap..." *laughing* Yes, of COURSE, that is just what people need in order to be reassured. Great screencap showing the figure of Mama Seymour on that ivory plaque thing hanging around its neck. Interesting that the concept art shows it far more clearly as the classic Anima Sola figure, whereas the Seymour-Mom portrait has the flaimes so faint that it's hard to see (although I think she's still got the chains, and definitely the halo). You've picked up a lot more than I did, even studying this critter pretty closely.

"Crystal alicorn" which in a parallel dimension would actually be a cup. That has always baffled me.

"Under her own personal raincloud." Ouch. I had never thought about the fact that Chappu would've proposed to her here and now were he still alive.

"Come at me bro" is never something one should say that close to Lulu. O.o But yes, it does look like that!

Augh. Waffles' meltdown is so real. His face when he says "it can't be" should melt anyone's heart. Auron's giving him tough love because that's how Auron is, monastery-raised, but the old grump does feel for the kid, too. ("It's all right.") I love this scene from start to finish. Including Auron's half-helpless laughter at being blamed for everything, everything in this screwed-up world, including Jecht getting turned into a space whale. He can either get angry, weep, or laugh. When he was alive, he'd get angry; now he chooses the latter.

Your comments about Kimahri are very true; big blue kitty deserves some kind of medal for distinguished service above even Lulu for all the years he's devoted to Yuna above and beyond what Auron asked him to do. I do wish there had been time for an Auron and Kimahri conversation. The trouble is, once the whole party gets together, you seldom see any of them talking amongst themselves; they're usually talking to the group, Tidus or Yuna.

Re: Auron's conflicting promises to guard Tidus and Yuna: I'm not sure he could leave Dream-Zanarkand without Jecht's help. He may have jumped at his one chance to reach Tidus, after which he was stuck for ten years. (Thanks, Jecht!)

Auron's swivel from Yuna to Lulu always makes me grin. ("Who's the chaperone here...? Aha. The one who had the spine to question me.")

Aww, great screencaps of the infamous (and yet poignant) laughing scene.
