Yes I am long-term constructing an extra level of resonance for when Auron reappears for Yuna's pilgrimage in Guardian. :D (Which will probably just end up amounting to a couple panels of ~Meaningful Glances~ because they never talk but oh well.)
I'll have to watch the videos in a couple days because I am down to my last GB of internet and it resets tomorrow night. I've been wanting to watch the entire undub for awhile now. And yeah Seymour's voice gives him an immediate creeper vibe. It makes me really uncomfortable when I'm playing the game.
But that's a good comparison. I read Lord of the Rings when I was 12 or 13 and I remember being so betrayed by Saruman. I did want to trust him.
Ohhhhh I didn't even think that Seymour's monster menagerie was on that ship! Haha I completely didn't give any thought to where he got them from. Good catch.
Haha yeah you see Kimahri jump without her so either she can jump really far or maybe has some rudimentary form of Aero that isn't practical enough to be used in combat. Or they just didn't feel like animating her jumping. And yeah I have wondered how they got back . . . I guess they commandeered the boat or something.
I don't really understand sports culture, but more power to you. My stepdad is a University of Alabama fan and he refers to the team as "us" as well. (Including one of the cats, who now has an Alabama collar.)
