Seymour is so much more convincing in Japanese. His voice is charismatic, compelling, and sounds disarmingly noble, whereas the English dub made him sound like a creeper from the start.
The thing that incenses me about the dub is that they made him sound as stereotypically gay as they could manage. He should've sounded like Akio -- which is what I assume the original sounds like, since I can't make the dang thing play. But no, the only thing they could've done to make him sound gayer was to give him a lisp. Evil effeminate guy! ARGH.
