I believe either in the Isaaru battles, and also in the Belgemine battles after the Highroad where you can go through more than one Aeon, that if you are much slower than her Aeon, then the Aeon will attack you before you have a chance to summon, and it knocking you out will cause the 'stop, that is enough' from Belgemine.
Never lost to Isaaru, but guessing that one nets you a Game Over.
